on the career list are still

How a club gets called active
Every card below shows the dated thing its label rests on.
If you know better, say so from the card, and two people have to agree
before anything moves.
Every student organization on campus is listed, not only the ones that
recruit for careers.
Active
Something dated happened recently: an event, a post, an update to
their own site. The date and the source are printed on the card.
Gone quiet
There was a pulse once and there has not been one lately. Not the same
as folded, and worth a message before you write it off.
Unverified (the tile)
Every club that is not Active, which is Gone quiet and the one below
it together. Which of the two a club is says whether this board has
ever seen it do something, and that turns out not to sort by how long
ago: plenty of the gone-quiet ones are staler than the ones nothing was
found for, and plenty are fresher. The date on the card is the thing
worth reading, and the bar at the top of the page is every one of
those dates at once.
Not found yet
No dated evidence either way. Usually a club that recruits entirely
through Instagram and a GroupMe, which is most of the good ones. Where a
card says nothing could be found, the search has already been done: no
site, no Instagram, no directory event. Those are the ones only a member
can answer, and the button is why they are still listed.
Folded
The directory dropped it, or people said it folded and said how they
knew.
What the parts of this page do
The three numbers
Each is also a filter. Tap one for exactly those clubs, tap it again
for all of them. A search ignores all three and looks at every club on
campus.
This week
Up to eight clubs, each pinned for one dated thing: an event in the
next seven days, an application open now, or a post this month. The
poster prints the thing it was picked for. It is the same eight
whatever the filters below say.
The next two weeks
Every day of the campus calendar, including the empty ones. A day
shows three events, and its count opens the rest. An event leads to
the club holding it. University department events are not on it, the
same as everywhere else on this page.
Saved
A bookmark, and only that. It puts the club in a row at the top of
this page so you can come back to it without searching the name again,
and it remembers the verdict it had when you saved it, so a change
is visible next time. It is stored in this browser and sent nowhere:
there is no account here to send it to, nobody else can see it, and
clearing your browser data ends it. It changes nothing about the club,
counts for nothing, and moves no verdict.
Share
A link to the club's own page, which shows its label and the dated
thing behind it, with a way back to its card here.
Sort
By name, or latest activity first. Either way Active clubs come
before the rest, because the verdict is the first thing a card says.
Career list
A hand-written list of the clubs that feed a career track. It is a
separate question from whether a club is running, so it is a separate
control.
Application to join
The club picks its members rather than taking whoever turns up, and
its card says so.
