The Black Muslim Collective at UNC

The Black Muslim Collective (BMC) is a space created by Black Muslims for Black Muslims to foster connection, self-expression, and empowerment. We celebrate the unique identities of Black Muslims and provide a safe environment to discuss the complexities of living in a world shaped by both anti-Blackness and Islamophobia. While centering the experiences, history, and struggles of Black Muslimness, our community is open to all willing to learn, stand in solidarity, and engage with respect and care. Our mission is to uplift and empower Black Muslims, contributing to a united and inclusive campus ummah.
