Students for a National Health Program at UNC-Chapel Hill

Students for a National Health Program at UNC-Chapel Hill (“SNaHP at UNC”) is the UNC-Chapel Hill chapter of Students for a National Health Program, the student affiliate of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP). The chapter is housed at the Gillings School of Global Public Health.

We exist to give graduate students at UNC-Chapel Hill a serious intellectual community focused on health financing, universal coverage, and the politics and policy of reform. Our work emphasizes substantive engagement with the questions involved – through conversations with practitioners, structured discussions among members, and collaboration with allied chapters and organizations – alongside our commitment, as an affiliated chapter, to the broader goal of universal, publicly financed health care in the United States.
