The mission of SOTA is to further the advancement of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy in order to enhance the health of the public in its medical, community, and educational environments through education, action, service, and the promotion of the field.
Members are UNC Master of Occupational Therapy Students who are committed to upholding this mission. We have monthly meetings to discuss service, social, and educational events; fundraising opportunities; and updates from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD), and the UNC Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy.
