Stomp Out Hunger's mission is to eradicate hunger and ensure that every member of homeless communities near universities nationwide has access to nutritious meals. We believe in a world where no one goes hungry. Our purpose is to provide essential food supplies, support, and raise awareness to combat hunger and food insecurity.
Founded in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in January 2024, Stomp Out Hunger is dedicated to making a tangible impact. In partnership with the Community Kitchen Shelter in Carrboro, North Carolina, we collaborate with local organizations, collect unused food from Greek Life organizations, local restaurants, and other sources to address hunger within homeless communities. By redirecting surplus food to those in need, we also significantly reduce food waste.
Our vision is to expand our operations beyond Chapel Hill to university communities across the United States, continuously growing our efforts to make a significant and lasting difference.
