SCUBA Club at UNC-CH

The UNC-CH SCUBA Club is a community centered around the underwater world. We connect divers across the Carolina community in a shared interest around the discipline of SCUBA diving. Our community includes new divers from the UNC open water classes (PHYA 227), recreational divers on Chapel Hill's campus, scientific divers at the UNC-IMS campus in Morehead City, and proud alumni across the global.

We connect the Carolina dive community particularly through social media, monthly newsletters, and our annual general body meeting.

Our annual general body meeting is the largest meeting of divers on Chapel Hill's campus. We host speakers from some of the most well known and respected diving organizations such as DAN and the Duke Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic. We collaborate with members of the Marine Sciences Department to show students how their skills can be used in research related fields and promote ecologically responsible
