“ScienceDays is a mentoring program geared to foster scientific curiosity in elementary school students by engaging them in hands-on learning opportunities beyond the ordinary classroom experience. The program aims to create a national network of enthusiastic high school and college mentors who are dedicated to making a difference in their communities by promoting science education.”
Our mission aligns with that of UNC Chapel Hill by promoting teaching and leadership skills, public service, and “enhancing access to and fostering the success and prosperity of our rising generation.” We hope to ameliorate the quality of life of students within the local community by targeting the disadvantaged populations within the student bodies who attend these after-school program upon demonstrating a need for academic enrichment.
