Puppies at Carolina is a registered student organization that helps train, support, and fundraise for service dogs organizations and local animal shelters. We work closely with Guiding Eyes for the Blind (GEB), Eyes Ears Nose & Paws (EENP), Crisis Dogs NC, and Orange County Animal Shelter. The club consists of young puppy trainers, puppy sitters, and other volunteering members that support our cause.
Having the puppies on campus is great for student morale and is beneficial for these organizations as it provides pups with exposure to the Chapel Hill community. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with these organizations - club members can help by puppy sitting, volunteering with PR events, and making dog toys and treats at meetings.
We aim to have 3 pup events each month and have bi-weekly club member meetings. During these events and meetings students can learn about how to get involved with our partnering organizations and love on pups! We want each of our members to learn about service dog organizations, help fundraise for local shelters while promoting community businesses, raise mental health awareness through puppy therapy, and meet other UNC students i
