This purpose of the Psychiatry Interest Group is to expose students, during all four years of medical school, to the field of Psychiatry. The membership will consist of first-through-fourth year medical students. The group will help students decide if they would like to pursue a career in Psychiatry, by providing shadowing opportunities, mentoring opportunities, guest speakers that speak about their experiences in Psychiatry, etc... As a group, we are also dedicated to improving the wellbeing of youths with mental health needs and to increasing the number of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists available to help youths and their families.
