Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is a multiethnically-based, Latina-oriented organization dedicated to women's empowerment, academic excellence, service, and diversity. Founded on March 15, 1989, by seventeen diverse women, OPBSI promotes unity across cultures, leadership, and community advancement through sisterhood. The Beta Lambda Chapter at UNC-Chapel Hill, established on April 23, 2011, has grown to 52 sisters representing 22 distinct ethnicities over its fourteen-year history. Recognized for achievements like Chapter of the Year and Highest GPA in its Greek council, the chapter embodies OPBSI's mission of fostering empowered women who uplift their communities through inclusivity and excellence.
