National Society of Black Engineers

Welcome to the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Our mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their communities.

At UNC, we are dedicated to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for aspiring engineers. Through innovative programs, leadership development, and professional growth opportunities, we equip our members with the tools to thrive in science, technology, and engineering fields.

NSBE provides students pursuing careers in STEM with access to both campus-based and national networking events, helping them build connections, gain real-world insight, and prepare for life beyond graduation.
