ModernExtension Dance Company is a student-run sports club on campus that provides a creative outlet for students interested in all kinds of dance. Auditions are held each fall semester. Company members are given the opportunity to explore their technical, choreographic, and dance performance skills through weekly technique classes. The company holds two concerts a year. We prepare throughout the year for our two shows--a structured improvisation show in the fall, and a student-choreographed show in the spring. To do this, we bring in instructors from the surrounding community to help us continue to develop and refine our dance technique and teach us new ways to move. We also have weekly rehearsals, customized by executive officers based on availability and preferences provided by each member, to put together the pieces for the spring show.
