Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students

Welcome to MAPS!

MAPS at UNC-CH is the undergraduate leg of the Student National Medical Association at UNC School of Medicine . Our mission is to provide undergraduate students, usually from underrepresented backgrounds, with resources and support toward a successful career in the health profession of their choice.

We accomplish this goal via:

Health career exploration

Academic and personal resources/support

Service and networking opportunities

Professional and leadership development

Direct student mentorship from health professional students

Though directly associated with the SNMA, MAPS provides resources to ALL pre-health students interested in ALL health fields . We work closely with health professional schools and student organizations from all major health schools on the UNC Campus including pharmacy, public health, nursing, medicine, allied health, and dentistry .
