Latinx Unity for Central American History and Action

LUCHA serves as a community that provides networking and support for students, but not limited to, of Central American origin and those interested in learning more about Central American culture. Our organization focuses on connecting Central American students to build the representation of our community and set examples of what changes we can bring through service, volunteering, and advocacy.

The objectives of LUCHA are:

Bringing awareness to our community by creating a safe and welcoming place for Central Americans on campus.

Becoming the voice in our community to help address needs and concerns.

Sharing our diverse culture through storytelling, volunteering, and creating art from our communities. Central America is composed of seven nations, and we would like to showcase our homelands.

Creating that space where Central American students can connect with others and find ways to help support our communities during their time at UNC.
