Latine Graduate and Professional Student Association

The Latine Graduate and Professional Student Association (LGPSA), created in 2022 and awarded the Graduate Student Organization of the Year in 2024/25 , seeks to foster a sense of community and belonging for graduate and post-doctoral students who identify as, or support the culture of, Latin American and Hispanic people at UNC-Chapel Hill.

LGPSA members are invited to participate in a variety of recurring events. These include the traditional café con leche event, where members can socialize over food and drinks; social events such as salsa dancing, karaoke, and trivia nights; advocacy initiatives; and professional development opportunities, including a talk series, among other activities.

How to Join: In order to fund student-led programming, LGPSA will collect annual dues of $20 per year due by October 30. Membership dues will subsidize the cost of hosting at least 1 event per month.

Dues are collected via cash or Venmo by our Treasurer, Viviana Londoño. If this amount is cost-prohibitive, please reach out to the exec team via LGPSAUNC@gmail.com !
