iGEM at UNC-Chapel Hill

iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) at UNC-Chapel Hill is a student-led synthetic biology research team that competes in the iGEM Grand Jamboree competition held annually in the fall (in Paris!). iGEM offers students the opportunity to apply their synthetic biology knowledge to a project that solves a real-world problem with scientific research, while also contributing to the surrounding community through synthetic biology education and outreach efforts.
