Hult FuSSO is an interdisciplinary club at UNC-Chapel Hill that empowers students to transform bold ideas into real-world impact. By bridging research, modeling, and product development with entrepreneurship, we help students turn innovation into action.
What We Do
As the officially recognized host of the Hult Prize Campus Round at UNC, we provide students a direct pathway to compete on the global stage. Through proposal competitions, innovation workshops, and mock pitch events, our club fosters practical skills in research translation, collaborative design, and social impact entrepreneurship.
Past Year Highlights
1. Successfully hosted the UNC Hult Prize Campus Round, with 6 student teams (1–4 members each) competing. Our winning team advanced directly to the National Round in Boston.
2. Partnered with faculty judges from UNC, Duke, and NCSU, ensuring a fair, interdisciplinary evaluation process.
Built a strong collaboration with UNC Biomedical Engineering, enabling members to earn CLE credit for participation and project work.
3. Initiated a regional partnership with Duke’s Hult team to co-host a Triangle-Area Hult Prize event in the coming year.
