The UNC School of Medicine Gastroenterology Interest Group (GIG) is a student-led organization for medical students interested in gastroenterology, hepatology, and digestive health. Our mission is to connect students with opportunities for mentorship, networking, research, and career exploration within the field of GI. Through educational seminars, faculty panels, skills workshops, and collaborative events with fellows and physicians, GIG aims to foster early exposure to gastroenterology and support students pursuing careers in internal medicine and GI-related specialties.
