About

Many children in the Chapel Hill area don’t have consistent access to basic health education or preventive care. We believe that small things, such as learning how to properly wash your hands, apply sunscreen, and eat a balanced diet, can make a lasting difference, yet not everyone gets the opportunity to learn about these things early on. The Dose of Sunshine Foundation at Carolina hopes to help fill this gap and provide undergraduate students here at Carolina with the opportunity to serve the younger generation of Chapel Hill in a truly impactful way. This organization aims to create a space where students who care about children’s health can bring ideas together in order to make health education more accessible and engaging. The Dose of Sunshine Foundation exists to make preventive care something every child can understand and enjoy, regardless of their background
