Dance For All

Dance For All (DFA) is a graduate and professional student organization at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill dedicated to building community through movement, creativity, and cultural connection. We believe dance is a universal language—one that transcends programs, backgrounds, and experience levels.

Our mission is to create an inclusive space where UNC’s graduate and professional students can come together to move, express, and connect outside of the classroom. Whether you’ve been dancing for years or have never set foot in a studio, Dance For All welcomes you to join us for free classes taught by talented local instructors across a variety of styles—from hip hop and salsa to Bollywood, contemporary, and beyond.

All classes are held in Roper Hall , a central and accessible location for the graduate community. There are no dues or membership fees ; our instructors are funded and reimbursed through university-supported programs and grants , ensuring that cost is never a barrier to participation.
