Dabke Heels

Dabke Heels is a co-ed traditional Arab dance team. We set out to promote and preserve and raise awareness of the Middle-Eastern culture through the teaching, showcase and performance of the traditional folk dance known as Dabke, all while entertaining the general public. Dabke is an Arabic folklore popular within most Arab countries. It originated from Balaad Al-Sham, which includes Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. Dabke creates a platform in which students can express themselves all while representing the Middle-Eastern culture. This organizations creates an outlet and social platforms to unite and connect our community. Through consisting of unique individuals our diversity serves as an opportunity to attract, harbor, and reflect safe and peaceful morals through Arab culture and UNC community alike.
