Coffee and Current Events

CACE teaches future policymakers and US military officers about the historical, cultural, and strategic context of the areas they will operate in through briefings, debates, and round table discussion with peers and experts.

We have wargaming, current events briefs, guest speaker panels with experts and military officers, and of course...coffee!

We foster a positive environment in which those looking to go into policymaking, national security, or the military can have candid, open-minded discussions about current events that affect the United States and the world. The club is open to anyone interested in learning more about history, culture, the military, and current events.

We generally have two current event briefs a month with officers teaching members about a prevalent current event topics followed by a discussion and debate. We also have a series of wargaming events per semester to teach members about military and diplomatic strategy. We also have guest speaker panels with current former military officers, subject matter experts, and eyewitnesses. We intend to have a historical site visits soon!

We usually have donuts, coffee, or pizza at these events.
