The Carolina Pre-Optometry Association is a student run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers as optometrists. The association will educate its members on the profession of optometry (O.D.), and equip their members with the tools necessary to advance in this competitive field.
The objectives of the Carolina Pre-Optometry Association will be:
1. To connect members with practicing optometrists via shadowing and networking opportunities.
2. To search for volunteer and community service opportunities relevant to the field and the local community.
3. To educate Carolina students on the process of applying to doctoral optometry programs.
4. To support Carolina students as they take pre-requisite courses, prepare for the Optometric Admissions Test (OAT).
