The AI Ethics and Law Club (AIELC) brings together students from computer science, data science, law, philosophy, public policy, and healthcare to explore how artificial intelligence intersects with ethics, governance, and legal systems.

The club plans to host seminars, workshops, and open discussions that examine AI’s societal impact and regulatory challenges. We aim to create an interdisciplinary space where students can exchange ideas, learn from experts, and engage in responsible innovation.

In the future, AIELC hopes to collaborate with the School of Data Science and Society, the UNC School of Law, and the Department of Computer Science to bring guest speakers, support student-led research, and develop policy-oriented projects. By uniting diverse perspectives, our goal is to prepare the Carolina community to ethically navigate and shape the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence.
