Carolina Cancer Association

The Carolina Cancer Association at UNC was built to provide the student body a strong platform from which individuals may get directly involved in a variety of cancer-related opportunities on campus.

We connect our members to local oncologists and cancer researchers and create more shadowing and laboratory-based opportunities. Students can apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios while at UNC-CH, develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the topic at hand.

We work with the NC Cancer Hospital to give students insight and opportunities into patient care as a volunteer in order to help prepare students for a potential future in medicine.

We also collaborate with the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center throughout the year. The Lineberger Center treats patients at the NC Cancer Hospital and conducts groundbreaking research to develop novel treatments. Nearly all of our fundraisers directly benefit the center by providing transportation for underserved families.
