Carolina Beekeeping Club

Carolina Beekeeping Club is one of UNC’s most distinctive student organizations, giving students the oppuritiny to take part in hands-on beekeeping, campus innovation, and environmental impact. We maintain four honey bee colonies at Battle Grove and host beginner beekeeping hive tours, pollinator planting events, and collaborative projects across the University to make pollinator health more visible and accessible in the Carolina community.

Membership is available to individuals from any academic discipline, and prior experience with beekeeping is not required. Whether your academic focus is environmental science, public health, chemistry, or you are simply interested in learning something new, you will quickly discover that the study of bees intersects with nearly all fields at Carolina.
