Carolina Astronomy Association

The Carolina Astronomy Association (CAA) is a purely interest-based club! We welcome individuals who are curious about the space industry, astronomy, or space in general. This is a club for everyone—meaning anyone, regardless of their educational background or knowledge level, can join. At CAA, we talk with professionals from the space industry, connect with astronauts, meet mentors, host observing nights, and do radio astronomy and astrophotography through UNC’s Skynet Robotic Telescope Network. We also hold movie nights, watch shows at the planetarium, build rockets, and so much more! We want to emphasize that this club is open to all, not just those studying astronomy or physics. If you’re interested in space, you’re welcome here—no prior knowledge needed!
