African Student Association

The African Student Association seeks to provide a platform for leadership, mentorship, and community building skills to prepare and empower future African leaders. The footprints of the African Student Association reflect a dedication to celebrating the beauty of African cultures, serving the needs of African people as we light the path to the Motherland on the campus of UNC-CH and in the surrounding communities. Africa, one of the most populous continents in the world, consists of 54 countries and is home to over 1.2 billion of the world’s population. Given the great diversity of our continent, there are thousands of identities and cultures encompassed under the African Student Association.Through performing arts, discussions, service and community events, the African Student Association seeks to share these different cultures and foster a diverse space of unity. We are family. As such, we stand with one another to celebrate, advocate and amplify our voices. By these goals, we light the path towards the African continent.
