About the Community:

Located at the heart of UNC’s campus, Carmichael’s proximity to Kenan Memorial Stadium, Dorrance Field, the Student Rec Center, and the Pit provides an easy commute to both classes and sports games. Its suite-style layout fosters community building and camaraderie amongst residents, creating a tight-knit community perfect for anyone looking to get connected within the Carolina Community.

Carmichael is home to the BLUE Residential Learning Program (RLP), which encourages student innovation and creativity by allowing exclusive access to BeAM Maker workshops, career planning resources, and applied science co-curricular programs. It also hosts the Transfer United RLP, which facilitates a seamless transition to Carolina for transfer students by providing key resources and support for success in academics, wellness, and community engagement.
