The term “Aerospace Medicine” refers to the multi-disciplinary application of professional and scientific knowledge, training, and research to promote and maintain the health, well-being, safety, and performance of those involved in aerospace activities. Aerospace Medicine at Carolina aims t o serve as a campus advocate for aviation, space, and extreme environmental medicine among undergraduate, graduate, post-doctoral, medical, allied health, and nursing students, as well as among medical residents and fellows at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
