Tar Heel TABLE is a nonprofit student organization that plans to raise funds, increase awareness and connect the campus and community with TABLE in Carrboro. Because 1 in 4 children go to bed hungry in the Carrboro/Chapel Hill area, TABLE provides food to local hungry children and teaches them about healthy food options. Tar Heel TABLE seeks to support the nonprofit by publicizing their work, donating food and funds and increasing awareness about the prevalence of local childhood hunger. Together, we hope to expand the organization's programs and eliminate childhood hunger in the area with the help of the campus and community.
