Kesem at UNC Chapel Hill works to support children through and beyond a parent's cancer. In addition to providing year round services to this unique population, Kesem also provides a week long free-of-charge summer camp for these children to feel supported and surrounded by those who understand what they are going through. This camp is run solely by our student volunteers from UNC Chapel Hill. All members and counselors are asked to participate in fundraising which goes towards putting on our annual summer camp and other events throughout the year.

Our mission is two-fold:

To provide kids whose parents have or have had cancer with a summer camp experience and year-round support that focuses on having fun, being themselves, and finding support amongst our Kesem family!

And, to give college students the opportunity to channel their passion for making a difference, while developing critical leadership skills for long-term social impact.
