The Business of Style Society (BOSS) exists to educate, connect, and empower students at UNC-Chapel Hill who are interested in the intersection of business and the fashion and style industries. BOSS was created to build a direct pathway into creative industries like fashion, luxury, beauty, and retail.
Our programming is centered on creativity, community, and careers, and is organized around four industry pillars:
Fashion: apparel, design, editorial, styling, and fashion marketing
Retail & Merchandising: buying, e-commerce, brand strategy, and the business side of every sector
Beauty & Cosmetics: skincare, makeup, fragrance, and haircare
Luxury & Lifestyle: jewelry, handbags, watches, home and design, and luxury hospitality and travel
Throughout the year, members can attend industry speaker events, brand workshops, internship panels, and networking opportunities with professionals and alumni.
