Brown Bag at UNC is a student volunteer organization affiliated with the Brown Bag Ministries nonprofit that empowers college students to support the health and well-being of local communities facing financial instability through the packing and delivery of nutritious meals.
We come together most Saturday mornings during the academic year to pack and deliver lunches to communities that either struggle with food insecurity, or are otherwise economically disadvantaged. Currently our main distribution area lies in Durham, but the packing of our lunches happens right here at UNC!
You do not have to be a member of the delivery team to get involved, many of our volunteers come out just to help pack meals which is still an enormous help! If you are interested in learning more or becoming part of our effort join our group me! - GroupMe Link
