The purpose of the Latinx Pre-Dental Society at UNC (LPDS) is to build a supportive, united community for Hispanic and first-generation undergraduate students navigating the pre-dental track at UNC Chapel Hill. Many Hispanic and first‑generation pre‑dental students lack clear guidance on course sequencing, shadowing opportunities, GPA management, and dental school applications. Without robust networks, they struggle to find mentors and insider information. Our mission is to empower, connect, and guide Hispanic and first-generation pre-dental students at UNC-Chapel Hill through targeted academic resources, mentorship pipelines, and professional development, fostering a diverse community dedicated to excellence in dentistry and community service.
