Lux’s Purpose at Carolina is a student-led chapter of Lux’s Purpose, a nonprofit that provides service dogs to children facing pediatric cancer and serious chronic illnesses at no cost to their families.
Our organization brings UNC students together through advocacy, education, fundraising, and service projects that support children and families while raising awareness about childhood illness, disabilities, and the impact of service dogs.
Members can get involved in hands-on projects, volunteer opportunities, campus events, and fundraising efforts while building leadership skills and connecting with others who want to make a difference. Whether you have experience with service dogs or are simply passionate about helping others, there is a place for you in our community.
Together, we work to make service dogs more accessible and build a more compassionate, inclusive, and supportive community for children and families who need it most.
