The Pre-Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (Pre-CAA) Association at UNC-Chapel Hill aims to fill a gap in the university’s pre-health community by providing resources and opportunities specifically for students interested in the Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) profession, as well as those exploring other healthcare careers. Our mission is to increase awareness of the CAA profession, provide guidance on the admissions process, and help students build meaningful connections with healthcare professionals and fellow students.
Through guest speakers, shadowing opportunities, networking events, application workshops, professional development, and community service, we strive to help members gain a better understanding of the CAA role and prepare for future careers in healthcare. We aim to create an inclusive and supportive community where students can ask questions, explore different career paths, learn about educational requirements, and gain valuable insight into the healthcare field.
