The 7AM Club is a student-led forum that helps UNC students build real fluency in financial markets. Each week, members meet at 7AM for a 35 to 45 minute discussion of one timely topic, such as a Federal Reserve rate decision or a move in Treasury yields. Leaders prepare a short reading paper and presentation drawn from sources like The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg, so members arrive with context and leave able to explain what happened and why it matters.
The club is open to students of every major, with no application or finance background required. Throughout the year, we also host guest speakers from investment banking, private equity, and other fields to introduce members to different career paths. Our early-morning format helps members build a lasting habit of staying informed, and our member website supports early-rise accountability.
