The Tar Heel Disability Law Project is a student organization that explores the relationship between disability and the law. Each month, we focus on a landmark case or topic in disability law and use it to practice legal skills through discussion, writing, and debate. We also host guest speakers, including attorneys and professionals in the field, to share where disability law stands today and where it’s headed. Our goal is to raise awareness of where the legal system falls short for disabled individuals, especially on UNC’s campus. No legal experience required. Whether you’re pre-law, passionate about advocacy, or just curious, we’d love to have you!
