The Club Dance Team at Carolina is a student-run organization dedicated to providing UNC–Chapel Hill students with the opportunity to pursue competitive dance at the collegiate level. The team was created to provide a structured competitive team experience for students who want to continue dancing beyond high school.
The team will bring together approximately 16–25 dedicated dancers from diverse dance backgrounds who share a passion for dance and a commitment to growing as individuals and as a team. Members will participate in regular practices 2–3 times per week, focusing on technique, athleticism, performance quality, choreography, and teamwork. The team will work with choreographers to prepare competitive routines and will participate in team-building activities, fundraising, and other activities throughout the academic year.
The team will hold auditions annually during August–September and will train throughout the fall and spring semesters. In April, the team plans to travel to Florida to compete at College Classic against other collegiate club dance teams from universities across the country.
