Campus Y: Carolina Justice Initiative

About

The mission of The Carolina Justice Initiative is to decrease mass incarceration and mitigate its devastating effects in Chapel Hill and the surrounding communities through sustained education, direct service, and strategic advocacy. We aim to foster a critically conscious student body that understands the historical, social, and economic forces driving the carceral state. By bridging academic knowledge with direct action, we will work to dismantle systems of oppression, support justice-involved individuals, and champion systemic change for a more equitable future.
