The Womxn in Healthcare Leadership student organization was created in order to address issues femme-identifying health leaders face in today’s society and to foster strong connections amongst health-minded Tarheels. Each spring semester we hold an annual symposium where healthcare leaders discuss adversities and successes they have experienced throughout their careers. Additionally, the symposium has allowed opportunities for womxn and allies to come together to promote diversity in healthcare leadership by connecting students with current healthcare professionals. This upcoming year we hope to expand upon the goals of the group by creating a strong and sustained network of UNC students and alumni through networking events and opportunities.
