Women and underrepresented genders in STEM Promoting Inclusion in Research Experiences

The WinSPIRE program is a training program that aims to foster community

and engagement in STEM fields for future researchers. By providing a research and mentorship opportunity for local high school students , we will build confidence in their ability to pursue a STEM degree or career in the future. The program also emphasizes supporting equal access to STEM opportunities. Moreover, the WinSPIRE program provides training and experience in mentorship and science communication to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, staff, and faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) who participate as mentors/volunteers, with the ultimate goal of providing them the skills to thrive in their education and future careers

as they continue in STEM .
