UNC-CH Student Academy of Audiology

The UNC Chapel Hill Student Academy of Audiology (UNC-CH SAA) is the local chapter of the national student division of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and is the only student organization of, by, and for audiology students that serves as a collective voice for students and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in audiology. The SAA introduces students to lifelong involvement in activities that promote and advance the profession of audiology and that provide services, information, education, representation and advocacy for the profession and for consumers of audiology services.

The National SAA has over 1,450 members and 65 chapters, consisting of students enrolled in Au.D., Ph.D., or other accredited audiology doctoral programs. Your local Au.D. program and SAA chapter provides opportunities for involvement and enrichment in service, education and professional development; the national SAA organization opens more doors for increased levels of engagement while offering invaluable opportunities to meet colleagues and mentors from across the country that truly have an impact on you, your education, your career and the future of audiology.
