MISSION STATEMENT

The Goal of UNC Pauper Players is to provide a platform for Carolina students to collaborate and produce an array of musical theatre works. Our ambition is to ensure that a diverse collection of individuals has the opportunity to find community and growth while making meaningful and innovative musical theatre.

ABOUT US

UNC-CH Pauper Players is a student-run organization dedicated to bringing all musical theater productions to UNC-CH’s campus. Established in 1989, Pauper Players produces a Fall musical, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and a Spring musical every year. Some of our past productions include: The Lightning Theif, The Mad Ones, Chicago, Chess, Godspell, Little Shop of Horrors, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Sweeney Todd, and Into The Woods.

Pauper Players offers students various opportunities to participate in every aspect of musical theater production. Aside from actors, singers, and dancers, we are always recruiting directors, producers, stage managers, musicians, choreographers, stage hands, scenic designers, and costumers. Students can also participate through business management or publicity on the administrative staff.
