UNC-CH Equestrian Team

The UNC Equestrian Team competes in Zone 4, Region 3 of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association against other university teams. There are approximately 7 regular season shows that we compete at as a team. We require weekly lessons and meetings for every team member. UNCET is open to riders of all levels through a tryout process. As a team, we focus on hunt seat and equitation, though all disciplines are welcome.

How to Join: Attend an interest meeting in the Fall 2026 to join us next season!

Dues: Annual dues vary, but are approximately $1,700. This covers most costs (lessons, entry fees, coaching fees, etc). There are additional expenses, such as IHSA membership, merchandise, gas for drivers, senior gifts, etc.

Practice Days & Times : Arranged on student schedules (1 hour lesson/practice per week)

Practice Location : Oak Hill Hunter Jumpers (2929 Dick Holeman Road, Timberlake, NC 27583)

Competitive Season : Fall/Spring
