UNC-CH Ballroom Dance Team

The UNC-CH Ballroom Dance Team is a social and competitive team with no audition, experience, or partnership requirements!

We host a social dancing lesson once a week on Tuesdays that incorporates the American styles of ballroom dancing, in addition to social dancing etiquette. This is great if you've never danced before, and you are also able to join at any point during the year.

On the competitive side of the team, we offer lessons at multiple skill levels in the international styles of ballroom (listed below)!

International Latin: Chacha, Rumba, Samba, Jive

International Standard: Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, Foxtrot

Something unique to this team is that we also offer weekly subsidized lessons taught by professional ballroom dancers in Morrisville at Elite Ballroom! We travel as a team to the studio every Monday, so no worries if you don't have a car!

The purpose of this team shall be to provide the university community a forum to learn and improve upon ballroom dancing skills and then apply them in many competitive and social settings.
