The UNC Labor & Employment Law Association is an organization designed to provide the students, faculty, and staff of UNC School of Law a chance to meet, learn more about labor and employment, and hear about employment and internship opportunities within the field. The organization is designed primarily as a way for law students to expand their awareness and knowledge of labor and employment law.

Because UNC Law attracts an array of students with varying interests, the Labor & Employment Law Association will provide opportunities for all students. These opportunities will include learning about labor and employment law in the context of the employee and employer side, the private and public sector, and state and federal laws.

The Labor & Employment Law Association will provide another way in which students can learn more about the law, but that is not in the rigorous classroom setting. In keeping with that philosophy, the club will not demand a certain commitment from its members. Instead, the club will hopefully attract students who are interested in learning about labor and employment and keep the students’ interest through the club’s events and opportunities.
