Mission
To interconnect the UNC/NCSU Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering program among all classes and faculty, and to establish an organized recruitment system which appeals to all potential program graduates
The UNC BME Society is a student-formed organization to support undergraduate students interested in the field of biomedical engineering through mentorship programs, application and course planning, and fun social events like our yearly formal. BME Club allows members to network with each other, as well as access various opportunities to gain additional educational, practical, and professional experiences to further their skills and knowledge in the field. The UNC BME Club is an official student chapter of BMES.
It should be noted that this club is solely the undergraduate, UNC-based arm of the student body of the Joint Department; as of 2018, separate organizations for the NCSU-based undergraduate students and graduate students of the program exist, as well.
