Transfers at UNC-CH is Carolina's only student organization for our diverse population of over 2,600 transfer students. Transfers at UNC-CH is dedicated to supporting and empowering undergraduate transfer students as they integrate both academically and socially into the UNC-Chapel Hill community. Understanding that transfers have less time to process options and make critical decisions about various opportunities, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where transfer students can make lasting friendships, get involved in campus life, and make the most of their time at Chapel Hill, all while giving back to the community. Additionally, we advocate for the unique needs of transfer students, providing resources, support, and opportunities to enhance their college experience. We host a weekly three-hour lounge space, The Transfer Lounge, the first and only dedicated space for transfer students. The Lounge offers essential support, connection with countless university and external partners, resource sharing, and community building tailored specifically for the holistic development of their critical needs, ranging from social, academic, and professional.
